“Cinemad Presents” is a film distributor for independent, foreign, avant-garde, cult and underground films. We are your spy for under-appreciated movies, connecting them with venues just as unique.
Mike Plante started Cinemad as a film zine in 1998, which continues as a blog at www.iblamesociety.com. He has worked at Sundance since 2001, previously as Presentation Manager and currently as a Short Film Programmer. He helped Senior Programmer Shari Frilot create the festival’s New Frontier lounge in 2006. Plante also works with Cinefamily, Fantastic Arcade, The Loft Film Fest (Tucson), Los Angeles Film Festival, The Monterey Bay Film Society and Off + Camera (Krakow). He had some insane times programming at CineVegas.
Jon Korn is a Shorts Programmer for the Sundance Film Festival. He is also a Shorts Programmer at Outfest, where he was Programmer for the 2009 festival. Previously, Jon worked as an Associate Programmer at AFI FEST and as Associate Creative Producer for CineVegas. He is the Co-Creator of the Echo Park Time Travel Mart and a Jeopardy! champion.
Films profiled here are available for theatrical, educational and any other type of screening. Regular engagements and multiple shows are encouraged but special one-offs are possible. Rates vary between titles. Will play in a movie theater, microcinema, basement, warehouse or against a moving train.
